Our Mission

YPpubmedia connects, empowers, and supports young professionals in public media, to ensure that the next generation of public media leaders have the tools and expertise to build an exciting and resilient public media future.

History

The idea for the group was born in 2012 in a Minneapolis coffee shop. We currently have over 350 members in 178 public media stations and organizations across the country. If you’re under 35 and working in public media, join us, it’s free!

The YPpubmedia Advisory Board under took a strategic planning process in Fall 2013 to help clarify the group’s vision and create strategic goals for 2014 and 2015

Greater Public generously supports YPpubmedia with the staff time of Brooke Fuchs and Andrew Leitch, who facilitate the group.
